relationships and learn from business experts. All Chamber
members are encouraged to participate.

Ambassador Club
Meetings: First Wednesday of every month at 8 a.m. in the
Chamber office.
This elite group is comprised of Chamber members who have
actively participated in the Chamber for at least six months.
Works to strengthen relationships with new members and increase
awareness in the community of the benefits, programs and
initiatives of the Chamber.

Economic and Workforce Development
Meetings: Third Wednesday of every month at 8 a.m. in
the Chamber office.
Works to maximize land use opportunities, promotes
revitalization of older communities and encourages redevelopment
of underutilized, undeveloped land. Works closely with Baltimore
County Public Schools, higher education institutions and
community and government agencies to prepare students for
today’s workforce.

Education
Meetings: Second Friday of every month at 8 a.m. in the Chamber
office
Works to create links between business, education and the
community to promote awareness of the education system and its
needs. Administers the annual Merit Scholarship program and
organizes the annual Teachers’ Awards for Excellence and
determines the winners.

Events
Meetings: First Thursday of every month at 8 a.m. in
the Chamber office.
Ensures that the needs of members and the purpose and budgetary
goals of Chamber events are met through effective event
management and planning. Responsible for the Chamber’s holiday
party, which contributes to the “Berenbach Education Incentive
Fund.”

Meetings: Once a month
Monitors and makes recommendations on the Chamber’s budget with
a major focus on the big picture and future needs to serve our
members. The Finance committee reports to the Chamber’s
Executive Committee. Members appointed by the Board Chairman.

Government Affairs
Meetings: Third Thursday of every month at 8 a.m. in
the Chamber office. During the General Assembly session
(January-April) meets every Thursday at 8 a.m.
Provides a voice for business at the state and local level.
Activities include preparation of annual Legislative Agenda,
meetings with lawmakers and monitoring state and county
legislation. The committee reviews proposed legislation and
provides research and speakers on key issues.

Higher Education Task Force
Meetings: On an as-needed basis
Will develop an award program similar to the Teachers Awards for
Excellence for higher education institutions. The program will
be assigned by the Board to the Education Committee to be
implemented.

Human Resource Exchange
Meetings: Second Tuesday of every month at 8:30 a.m. in the
Chamber office
Provides forum for discussion on current issues and subjects in
human resources, such as hiring, health and safety compensation,
training and employee benefits.
