Mission Statement
NEXUS is a committee that is aimed at developing the professional and personal qualities of a business leader. These goals are achieved through the strategic planning and execution of networking, professional development, and community outreach events. Our goal is to be an additional resource to individuals in the area who are seeking to establish and grow their professional career. We want to empower individuals to have the ability to broaden their skills and business acumen in today’s evolving workforce.

Genie Briggs Genie Briggs is Vice President of Marketing and Business Development with Point Breeze Credit Union. Point Breeze has locations in Hunt Valley, Golden Ring and Bel Air Maryland. Genie has been a part of the NEXUS committee since it began 2006. Genie also heads the Community Outreach Program subcommittee of NEXUS.

Kelly Brown In addition to my role at Susquehanna Bank, I am also an active volunteer with several local nonprofits and have become increasingly involved in community outreach on behalf of my company. I am currently working on an MBA from Colorado State University and am also a member of the Maryland Banking School Class of 2012.

Ben Caplan I have worked in the printing industry for 27 years and have been a consultant for the past 7 years. My role at GPC is a print, promotional specialist, assisting clients to continue marketing their company by providing the right price for the right project.

Lauren Dunn Native of Baltimore County, graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications from Towson University. Worked at Abilities Network since 2006.
 
Corinne Hart
Director of National Accounts, Loews Annapolis Hotel
Corinne Hart Past NEXUS Chair, 2006-2010 and currently the Committee's Board Representative. Since 2005 I have been actively involved in the prosperity of the Chamber, supporting its members and business partners. My formal education and training in Sales & Marketing began in 1994. Working 10 years in the hospitality industry has created a large network and I enjoy the opportunities for travel. The culture, training and support from Loews Hotels has greatly contributed to my success.

Ryan Kirby I grew up in Towson and graduated from Hampden-Sydney College. I provide consultative sales for personal auto, home, and life insurance. Also, work as account manager for groups like BCoC and companies to provide group discounts on auto, home, and life insurance for any member or employee.

Stephanie Morris I have been in the banking field for almost 12 years, most specifically, with Susquehanna Bank for 7 years. In addition to becoming more involved with several Baltimore County organizations, I currently am an Assistant Branch Manager, servicing the residents and businesses in the Hunt Valley area.

Maria Neilson As the Senior Business Relationship Banker for SECU, Maria's goal is to make a positive contribution to the financial well-being of those she serves. In her role, she partners with local businesses and coaches SECU's branch network on the importance of small businesses. Maria is also the executive director of Camp Sunrise, an annual one-week summer camp for children with cancer, where she's volunteered since 2000.

Katrina Wilson Katrina Carolyn Wilson is the communications guru for HealthPlan Headquarters, a first of its kind insurance store located in a retail setting designed to serve the individual and small business. Katrina works to connect HealthPlan Headquarters to the community by arranging in store seminars and classes focused on health and wellness as well as volunteering, and initiating charity drives. Katrina is also a freelance communications & editorial specialist who has worked with companies all across the United States to build a stronger brand, as well as increase their social media presence and following.
