Government Relations

The Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce serves an important role in crafting public policy. At all levels of government, legislation affecting business is proposed on a constant basis. Many of these new rules and regulations can have a serious impact on local businesses and economic development.

At the Chamber, our mission is to advocate on behalf of the Baltimore County business community. Since our establishment in 1966, we have focused on building and maintaining relationships with local government agencies. Through the Chamber’s Legislative Affairs Committee, local businesses can come together, form a unified voice and promote a pro-business agenda. The committee provides an open forum for large and small business alike. Together, we can create a cohesive voice and keep our elected officials informed about the relevant issues affecting Baltimore County’s business community.

We encourage local business owners to get involved in the political process. Feel free to
contact us by email with issues that are affecting your business or attend one of our monthly committee meetings held every third Thursday of the month at 8 a.m.

With your help we can keep our county business friendly and prosperous.
