The Chamber’s Education Committee works to create ties between businesses, educational institutions and the community itself to promote awareness of the education system and its needs.
The committee selects winners of four-year Merit Scholarships to Towson University and UMBC, as well as a two-year scholarship to the Community College of Baltimore County.
Each year, the committee helps plan the annual Awards for Excellence in Education (held in conjunction with Baltimore County Public Schools) and selects 11 winners from a selection of outstanding nominations.
The Education Committee meets the second Friday of every month at 8 a.m. in the Chamber office. Call to confirm meeting details.
